Lighting System: Inspection

- HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSY
- Inspect the light control switch continuity.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position as shown in LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY

- Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position as shown in HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH
.HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH
Switch operation Tester connection Specified condition OFF 2 - 3 No continuity ON 2 - 3 Continuity Illumination circuit 4 - 5 Continuity - Inspect illumination operation.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 4 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 5, then check that the illumination lights up.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position as shown in HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH

- FOG LIGHT RELAY
- ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSY
- Inspect the map light continuity.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 5 when the switch is operated.
Standard:
- ON: Continuity
- OFF: No continuity
- Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 5 when the switch is operated.
- Inspect the map light continuity.
- ROOM LIGHT ASSY NO. 1
- Inspect the room light assy No. 1 continuity.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position as shown in ROOM LIGHT ASSY NO. 1

- Inspect the courtesy light assy continuity.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the switch is operated.
Standard:
- ON (When shaft is pressed): No continuity
- OFF (When shaft is not pressed): Continuity
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the switch is operated.
- Inspect the courtesy light assy continuity.
- GLOVE BOX LIGHT ASSY
- Inspect the glove box light assy continuity.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the switch is operated.
Standard:
- ON (When shaft is pressed): No continuity
- OFF (When shaft is not pressed): Continuity
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the switch is operated.
- Inspect the glove box light assy continuity.
- LH STEP SUB-ASSY
- Inspect the side step light assy.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the courtesy light switch is operated.
Standard:
- ON: Continuity
- OFF: No continuity
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the courtesy light switch is operated.
- Inspect the rear wheel light assy.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the courtesy light switch is operated.
Standard:
- ON: Continuity
- OFF: No continuity
- Check that there is continuity between terminals when the courtesy light switch is operated.
- Inspect the side step light assy.
- TAIL LIGHT RELAY
- HEADLIGHT RELAY
- STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSY
- Check that the continuity between terminals at each switch position, as shown in STOP LIGHT SWITCH

Standard:
