Automatic Transaxle Assembly: Removal

1. Remove the bolt and the transmission control cable bracket No. 2.

1. Disconnect the wire harnesses from the clamp.
2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 clamps.

1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness.

1. Disconnect the connector (1).
2. Remove the nut (2) and disconnect the starter wire.
3. Remove the 2 bolts (3) and starter assembly.

1. Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
2. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.
3. Disconnect the 2 transmission revolution sensor connectors.

1. Remove the 2 bolts and transmission control cable bracket No. 1.

1. Remove the ATF level gauge.
2. Disconnect the 2 clamps form the oil filter tube sub-assembly.

3. Remove the bolt and oil cooler tube clamp.

4. Remove the bolt and transmission oil filter tube sub-assembly.
5. Remove the O-ring from the oil filter tube sub-assembly.

1. Using SST and a wrench, disconnect the oil cooler inlet tube No. 1.

   SST 09023-12701 

1. Using SST and a wrench, disconnect the oil cooler outlet tube No. 1.

1. Remove the 3 bolts and engine mounting bracket front.

1. Remove the 5 bolts and transfer stiffener plate RH.

1. Remove the 2 bolts and flywheel housing under cover.

2. Turn the crankshaft to gain access and remove the 6 bolts while holding the crankshaft pulley bolt with a wrench.

   HINT:

   There will be one green colored bolt.

3. Remove the 8 bolts.
4. Separate and remove the automatic transaxle w/transfer.
