Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If the certification ECU is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID (See REGISTRATION  ).
  1. INSPECT FUSE (EFI NO. 1) 
    1. Remove the EFI No. 1 fuse from the No. 1 engine room R/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance: 

      Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CERTIFICATION ECU - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the E13 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      CERTIFICATION ECU - BATTERY

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E13-1 (+B1) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      CERTIFICATION ECU - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E13-17 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
