Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG+, B - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the A/C control assembly.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      IG+, B - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection (Symbols) Condition Specified Condition
      E3-2 (IG+) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
      E3-2 (IG+) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
      E3-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V

    NG: GO TO SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GND - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      GND - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection (Symbols) Condition Specified Condition
      E3-18 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
