Steering Pad Switch: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL PAD (See INSTALLATION )
- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the screw.
- Detach the clip and 2 claws and remove the switch.
- Disconnect the steering pad switch cable's tab from the switch, as shown in the illustration.
- Detach the 2 claws and raise the connector cover.
- Hold the connector cover and disconnect the switch from the steering pad switch cable.NOTE: When disconnecting the switch, do not pull the switch's wire harness.
- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH RH
- Remove the screw.
- Detach the clip and 2 claws and remove the switch.
- Disconnect the steering pad switch cable's tab from the switch, as shown in the illustration.
- Detach the 2 claws and raise the connector cover.
- Hold the connector cover and disconnect the switch from the steering pad switch cable.
NOTE: When disconnecting the switch, do not pull the switch's wire harness.
