Mayday Ecu: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. INSTALL MAYDAY ASSEMBLY 
   1. Connect the 5 connectors and 2 clamps to install the wire harness.

   2. Install the Mayday assembly with wire harness with the 2 bolts.

2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER RH 
   1. Install the trim cover with the 3 clips.
   2. Install the hook with the bolt.

3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH 
   1. Install the trim cover with the 3 clips.
   2. Install the hook with the bolt.

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT 
   1. Attach the 4 claws to install the trim cover.

   2. Attach the hook.

   3. Install the rope hook.

5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
   1. Install the finish plate with the 4 clips.
   2. Install the 3 clips labeled A.
   3. Install the 2 bolts and 2 hooks on both sides.

6. INSTALL TOOL BOX 
   1. Install the tool box.

7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
   1. Connect the connector.
   2. Attach the claw to install the light.

8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 
   1. Install the floor mat.

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
       NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
12. PERFORM REGISTRATION 
    1. Perform REGISTRATION  .
       NOTE: When replacing the Mayday battery or the Mayday ECU assembly (together with Mayday battery), perform registration.
