Inspection Procedure

HINT:

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - TELEVISION CAMERA)

    1. Disconnect the K47 display connector.
    2. Disconnect the Y8 camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      Y8-4 (CB+) - K47-13 (CA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y8-3 (CGND) - K47-14 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y8-2 (CV+) - K47-27 (V+) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y8-1 (CV-) - K47-28 (V-) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y8-4 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y8-3 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y8-2 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y8-1 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY (CA+ VOLTAGE) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K47-13 (CA+) - K47-14 (CGND) Engine switch on (IG), shift lever in R position Approx. 6 V

    NG: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY 

    OK: REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY
