- CHECK COMBINATION METER
- Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.TERMINAL DESCRIPTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
Terminal No. (Symbols) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition K31-40 (E2) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω K31-1 (IG+) - E2 (K31-40) R - W-B Engine switch signal Engine switch off Below 1 V Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V K31-21 (B) - Body ground B - Body ground Battery Always 10 to 14 V If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
- Reconnect the K31 meter connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.TERMINAL DESCRIPTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
Terminal No. (Symbols) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition K31-31 (PBLT) - Body ground O - Body ground Seat belt warning light signal (for passenger side) Passenger seat is occupied and its seat belt is unfastened Alternating between 10 to 14 V and below 1 V Passenger seat is occupied and its seat belt is fastened Below 1 V z2-6 - Body ground - Seat belt warning light signal (driver side) Driver seat belt is unfastened 10 to 14 V Driver seat belt is fastened Below 1 V If the result is not as specified, the combination meter may have a malfunction.
- CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY
- Disconnect the K46 multi-display connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.TERMINAL DESCRIPTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
