Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When the distance control ECU (cruise control ECU) is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (see INSTALLATION ).

CONFIRM DESIGNATION INFORMATION
1. Confirm the designation information.
  1. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
  2. Push the cruise control main switch ON.
  3. With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES / ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the skid control buzzer sounds at this time.
    NOTE: Do not turn the headlight dimmer switch on at this time because the beam axis automatic adjustment mode has already started, which could lead to an incorrect beam axis. If the light control switch is turned an by mistake, readjust the beam axis (Refer to "Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor" procedures).
  4. Clear the DTC and then recheck for DTCs.
    OK:
    
    DTC P1617 is not output.
    
    HINT:
    
    If the DTC P1617 is still output after replacing the distance control ECU, replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
NG: REPLACE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
