Front Axle Hub: Removal

HINT:

CAUTION: When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake fluid pressure may increase.
  1. TURN POWER SWITCH OFF 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR LH 
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
    • Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the brake caliper.
      NOTE: Use a wire or an equivalent to keep the brake caliper from hanging down by the flexible hose.

    2. Remove the caliper plates from the brake caliper.
  5. REMOVE FRONT DISC  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  6. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, front axle hub and front disc brake dust cover.
