Steering Knuckle: Installation
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION:
When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake fluid pressure may increase.
- TURN POWER SWITCH OFF
- Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.
- INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE LH
- Install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with a castle nut and new clip.
Torque: 87 N*m (887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut within an additional 60°.
- Install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with a castle nut and new clip.
- INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 120 N*m (1220 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf)
- Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT DISC (See REASSEMBLY )
- CONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See INSTALLATION )
