Oil Pump Motor Controller: Installation

CAUTION: Be sure to perform the procedure as described below. Do not turn the power switch on (READY) before the cable has been connected to the negative battery terminal.

INSTALL OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER
1. Install the oil pump motor controller with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)

2. Install the oil pump motor controller with bracket with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
3. Connect the clamp.

4. Connect the connector and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
  NOTE:
  - Be sure to securely lock the claw of the connector.
  - Push the connector all the way in and lock the lock lever.
  HINT:
  
  When the connector is pushed all the way in, the lock lever will move slightly to the lock position.

5. Push the lock into the lock lever to securely lock the lock lever of the connector.

6. Connect the connector to the oil pump motor controller.

7. Install a new wiring harness protector to the wire harness.
  NOTE: Make sure that the 2 locks are securely locked.

8. Install the wiring harness protector to the body.
  NOTE:
  - When installing the harness protector to the holes in the side member, first secure the protector to hole A, then finish securing the protector by attaching the tub to hole B.
  - Do not twist the electric oil pump harness more than 360° when installing it.

9. Connect the connector and securely lock the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
  NOTE:
  - Be sure to securely lock the claw of the connector.
  - Push the connector all the way in and lock the lock lever.
  HINT:
  
  When the connector is pushed all the way in, the lock lever will move slightly to the lock position.
10. Install the clamp to the bracket.

11. Push the lock into the lock lever to securely lock the lock lever of the connector.

INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION (2006/02-2006/07) ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
