Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the B6 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Remove the back door courtesy light switch assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester connection Condition Specified condition
    B6-1 - Switch body Back door courtesy light switch is free → pushed Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE BACK DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH - TELEVISION CAMERA ECU) 
    1. Install the back door courtesy light switch assembly.
    2. Reconnect the B6 connector.
    3. Disconnect the T23 connector from the television camera ECU.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester connection Condition Specified condition
    BCTY (T23-30) - Body ground Back door courtesy light switch is free → pushed Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
