Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK NAVIGATION DISPLAY 
    1. Check whether the navigation display appears properly or not.

    OK: The navigation display properly appears. 

    HINT:

    When the navigation display is normal, inspect the circuit between the television camera ECU and television camera assembly by following the steps below.

    NG: INSPECT DISPLAY SIGNAL CIRCUIT (NAVIGATION SYSTEM) 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the T23 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Disconnect the T17 connector from the television camera assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
    CB+ (T23-40) - CB+ (T17-4) Always Below 1 Ω
    CGND (T23-39) - CGND (T17-3) Always Below 1 Ω
    CV+ (T23-20) - CV+ (T17-2) Always Below 1 Ω
    CV- (T23-19) - CV- (T17-1) Always Below 1 Ω
    CB+ (T23-40) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    CGND (T23-39) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    CV+ (T23-20) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    CV- (T23-19) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. INSPECT TELEVISION CAMERA ECU 
    1. Connect the T23 connector to the television camera ECU.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      CB+ (T23-40) - CGND (T23-39) Ignition switch ON, shift lever R position 5.5 to 7.05 V

      NG: REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ECU

      OK: Go to Next Step 

  4. INSPECT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the T17 camera connector.
    2. Check the waveform of the television camera using an oscilloscope.

    OK: Waveform is as shown in the illustration.
