Door Control Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the door control switch (See DTC B1222: DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION  ).
  2. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Passenger side switch:

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch Position Specified Condition
      2 - 3 Lock Below 1 Ω
      - OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 2 Unlock Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the switch illumination.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2      		 Illuminated

      If operation is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
