Network Gateway Ecu: Removal

NOTE: When disassembling the network gateway ECU, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (See AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    HINT:

    Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER 

    HINT:

    Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  8. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cover.

    3. Remove the network gateway ECU.
