Scuff Plate Light: Inspection
- INSPECT SCUFF PLATE LIGHT
- Disconnect the connector from the scuff plate light.
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard voltage LH Side:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q8-2 (+) - Q8-1 (-) Any door Is opened 10 to 14 V Q8-2 (+) - Q8-1 (-) All doors are closed Below 1 V RH Side:

If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
- Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1.
- Check that the scuff plate light comes on.
OK: Comes on
If the result is not as specified, replace the scuff plate.
