Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When using the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:
Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) or Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.

HINT:

When DTC B2325 and a LIN communication stop DTC are output simultaneously, first perform the troubleshooting for the LIN communication stop DTC. Then perform the troubleshooting for DTC B2325.

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs A
      DTC B2325 output does not reoccur B

    B: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MASTER SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the L11 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the N13 switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      MAIN BODY ECU - MASTER SWITCH RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L11-10(LIN2)-N13-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      L11-10(LIN2)or N13-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Standard voltage 

      MAIN BODY ECU - MASTER SWITCH VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L11-10(LIN2)or N13-17 (LIN1)-Body ground Always Below 1 V

    OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU 

    NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the L11 ECU connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the N13 switch connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs A
      DTC B1206 output occurs B

    B: REPLACE MASTER SWITCH  (See REMOVAL )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  6. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the N13 switch connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  7. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the N11 motor connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs A
      DTC B2321 output occurs B

    B: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR  (See REMOVAL )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  8. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the N11 motor connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  9. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the N3 motor connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs A
      DTC B2322 output occurs B

    B: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR  (See REMOVAL )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  10. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the N3 motor connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  11. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the 08 motor connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs A
      DTC B2323 output occurs B

    B: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH  (See REMOVAL )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  12. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the 08 motor connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  13. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the O19 motor connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs (w/ Sliding roof system) A
      DTC B2325 output reoccurs (w/o Sliding roof system) B
      DTC B2324 output occurs C

    B: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    C: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH  (See REMOVAL )

    A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  14. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Reconnect the O19 motor connector.
    2. Delete the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  15. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Disconnect the X5 gear connector.
    2. Recheck for DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result:

    B: REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR  (See REMOVAL )
