NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD): Precaution

  1. NOTICE FOR INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.

    HINT:

    After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM 
    1. When using the intelligent tester or Techstream with the engine switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 seconds intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
    2. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG).
  3. NOTICE FOR DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT 

    Before replacing the display and navigation assembly, perform the SMART Test (see DIAGNOSIS DISPLAY DETAILED DESCRIPTION  ).

    When the SMART Test result is OK, the HDD memory can be copied. Therefore, copy the HDD memory to the new HDD.
