Cooling System (Mechanical): Cooling: Thermostat: Installation

  1. INSTALL WATER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH THERMOSTAT 
    1. Install a new gasket and the water inlet with thermostat with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  2. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    HINT:

    The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the radiator reservoir with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 2 reservoir hoses.

      HINT:

      The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT   ) 
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION   ) 
  7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See  COOLANT   )
