Disassembly and Assembly: Disassembly

CAUTION:
- While working, cover the primary piston rod with a cloth to prevent it from being damaged.
- Master cylinder assembly cannot be disassembled.
- Do not drop parts. If a part is dropped, do not use it.
- Secure the flange of the cylinder body in a vise as shown.
CAUTION:
- Use copper plates or a cloth to cover the flange before securing it in a vise.
- When securing the master cylinder assembly in a vise, be sure not to over-tighten the vise.
- Remove the pin from reservoir tank, using suitable tool approximately 4 mm (0.16 in) diameter.
- Remove the master cylinder assembly from the vise.
- Remove the reservoir tank and grommets from the cylinder body and discard the grommets.CAUTION: Discard the grommets, do not reuse.
