Inspection Procedure

1. Check if DTC U0129 is output (see TERMINALS OF ECU  ).

   Result 

   CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
   
   

   DTC Condition	Proceed to
   DTC U0129 is not output	A
   DTC U0129 is output	B

   HINT:

   DTC U0129 indicates a skid control ECU communication malfunction in the electric power steering system.

A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Using the intelligent tester, check for DTCs and confirm that there are no problems in the brake control system (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

   DTC is not output	A
   DTC is output	B

   NOTE: If replacing the power steering ECU, initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (see CALIBRATION  ).

A: REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU (See  REMOVAL   )
