ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR (for Front Side): Inspection

  1. INSPECT ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (B+) - 3 (GND) Always 12.0 to 12.8 Ω
      2 (A+) - 3 (GND) Always
      4 (B-) - 3 (GND) Always
      5 (A-) - 3 (GND) Always

    2. Check the shaft stop position.
      1. Connect the connector to the absorber control actuator.
      2. Check the absorber control actuator operation (see OPERATION CHECK  ).
        1. Enter TEST MODE and turn the engine switch on (IG).
        2. Check the shaft rotation when depressing the brake pedal.

          OK: Every time the brake pedal is depressed, the absorber control actuator rotates in the hard to soft direction in 15° intervals up to a maximum angle of 120°.
