Inspection Procedure

  1. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (DRIVER SEAT BUCKLE SWITCH) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the front seat buckle switch LH.

      Main body ECU 

      DATA LIST - MAIN BODY ECU

      D SEAT BUCKL SW Driver seat buckle switch ON: Driver seat buckle switch is ON
      OFF: Driver seat buckle switch is OFF

      OK: 

      Condition signal can be displayed. 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    NG: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (DRIVER SEAT BUCKLE SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the front seat inner belt LH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4 - 5 Seat belt is unfastened Below 1 Ω
      4 - 5 Seat belt is fastened 1 MΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (INNER BELT - ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the B11 inner belt connector.
    2. Disconnect the B7 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      B11-5 - B7-13 (DBKL/DBKLR) Below 1 Ω
      B11-4 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
