  1. METER GAUGE

    METER GAUGE REFERENCE CHART

    Item Detail
    Speedometer Indicates the vehicle speed receiving a signal from the ABS & traction actuator assembly. (Direct Line)
    Power Meter Gauge Hybrid vehicle control ECU transmits power meter signal to the combination meter assembly. (Direct Line)
    Engine Coolant Temperature Receiver Gauge Indicates the engine coolant temperature receiving a signal from the ECM. (CAN-BEAN)
    Fuel Gauge Receives the fuel signal from the fuel sender gauge. (Direct Line)

    WARNING/INDICATOR

    TURN SIGNAL Receives the turn signal from the turn signal flasher. (Direct Line)
    BEAM Receives the beam signal from the body ECU. (BEAN)
    CHARGE Receives the charge malfunction signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    CHECK E/G Receives the check engine malfunction signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU. (Direct Line)
    DOOR Open door indicator light comes on receiving a door condition signal from the body ECU. (BEAN)
    D-BELT Receives the driver side seat belt signal from the airbag sensor assembly center. (BEAN)
    P-BELT Receives the passenger side seat belt signal from the airbag sensor assembly center (BEAN) and transmits the passenger side seat belt condition signal to the integration control & panel assembly (*1) (BEAN)/multi-display (*2). (AVC-LAN-BEAN)
    HEAD (*3) Receives the taillight signal from body ECU. (BEAN)
    TAIL (*4) Receives the taillight signal from the body ECU. (BEAN)
    A/T SHIFT Receives the A/T shift condition signal from the park/neutral position switch and hybrid vehicle control ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    FUEL Receives the fuel signal from the fuel sender gauge. (Direct Line)
    ABS Receives the ABS signal from the ABS & traction actuator assembly. (CAN-BEAN)
    SLIP Receives the SLIP signal from the ABS & traction actuator assembly. (CAN-BEAN)
    ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE Receives the electrically controlled brake signal from the ABS & traction actuator assembly. (CAN-BEAN)
    BRAKE Receives the brake signal from the ABS & traction actuator assembly. (CAN-BEAN)
    CRUISE Receives the cruise signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    AIRBAG Receives the airbag signal from the airbag sensor assembly center. (BEAN)
    AFS OFF (*5) Receives the AFS OFF signal from the AFS ECU. (BEAN)
    P/S Receives the P/S signal from the EMPS ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    READY Receives the ready signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    MAIN BATTERY Receives the main battery signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU. (CAN-BEAN)
    TIRE Receives the tire pressure warning signal from the tire pressure warning ECU. (BEAN)

    HINT:

    • The multi-information display has been located in the center of the combination meter assembly.
    • The display shows a message or animation for each of the functions described in the table below.

    MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY 

    MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY REFERENCE CHART

    Item Detail
    Door warning When a door (driver/passenger/rear left/rear right and back) of the vehicle is opened or closed, this item displays a warning message and animation to inform the driver of the condition of the door.
    Maintenance required ((1))
    • A maintenance required will display the warning message to remind the driver to change the engine oil depending on the vehicle driving distance.
    • Displays the mode while in the maintenance request reset mode.
    Refueling display Displays the refueling standby or refueling allowed state by way of the sealed tank system.
    ODO/TRIP display This display switches between odometer, trip meter A, and trip meter B in accordance with the operation of the ODO/TRIP switch.
    Energy monitor display
    • Energy monitor indicates the energy transmission direction for checking the current drive method (engine, motor or both), the power generation status by the engine and status of regenerative energy use.
    • The status of change of the battery can be checked on the meter with an 8 - stage display, which is provided in the battery illustration.
    Outside temperature display Displays the outside temperature in accordance with the ambient temperature signal from the A/C control ECU.
    Instant fuel consumption
    • Displays the value that has been calculated by the meter CPU, which is based on the driven distance and the fuel consumption volume (fuel injection No.1 injector), provided that the ignition switch is turned ON.
    • The display updates every 0.5 second.
    Average fuel consumption Displays the value that has been calculated by the meter CPU, which is based on the driven distance and the fuel consumption volume after the INFO button has been pressed 0.8 second or longer. The display updates every 10 seconds.
    Dynamic laser cruise control system display ((1)) Displays a description of the operation while the dynamic laser cruise control systems operating.
    Warning message Illuminates or blinks the master warning light and displays a warning message for each type of system failure.
    DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) display Displays the DTCs pertaining to the VSC function.

    HINT:

    • Integration control & panel assembly (*1) consists of three parts (driver monitor display, passenger information display, and heater control panel). These areas display the contents given in the table below.
    • Multi-display assembly (*2) consists of four parts (navigation display, passenger information display, clock display, and heater control panel). These areas display the contents given in the table below.

    *1. w/ Sliding Roof Control System

    *2: The display immediately before turning the ignition switch off will appear when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.

    *3: The display is switched in order shown above by pushing the "DISP" switch on the steering pad switch. *4: If the abnormal condition is detected, the warning display appears immediately, (w/ buzzer) *5: U.S.A. only

  4. MAINTENANCE MODE

    HINT:

    MAINTENANCE MODE is the secret mode (See REPAIR INSTRUCTION ).

  5. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

    HINT:

    • The multi-information display shows "DIAG" when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE ).
    • Diagnosis checks for the VSC system can be done by using the displayed items is in the multi-information display.
