Front Axle Hub: Removal

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with painted surfaces.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and separate the brake tube bracket from the steering knuckle.
- Using SST, separate the brake tube from the disc brake cylinder.

HINT:
Use a container to collect the brake fluid as it drains out.
- Remove the 2 bolts and disc brake caliper assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB GREASE CAP (for 4WD) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB NUT (for 4WD) (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ATTACHMENT (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM
- Support the lower arm with a jack.
- Remove the clip and nut.
- Using SST, separate the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

- REMOVE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY
- for 4WD:
- Using a plastic hammer, separate the front axle hub from the front drive shaft.
