Window Defogger Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the operation of the window defogger switch indicator.
      1. Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and negative (-) battery lead to terminal 20, then check the indicator operation.

        Standard 

        SWITCH CONDITION

        Switch Condition Specified Condition
        ON Indicator illuminates
        OFF Indicator turns off

        If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel.

      2. Under the above condition, connect the positive (+.) battery lead to terminal 2, then check the indicator operation.

        Standard 

        SWITCH CONDITION

        ON Indicator Dims
        OFF Indicator turns off

        If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel.
