Hybrid Vehicle Transaxle Assembly: Installation

INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

Make sure that the knock pins are installed on the engine.
Install the hybrid vehicle transaxle and the 8 bolts shown in the illustration to the engine.
Torque: Bolt A

64 N*m (653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf)

Torque: Bolt B

46 N*m (469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf)

Torque: Bolt C

64 N*m (653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf)

Torque: Bolt D

37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

NOTE:

Do not reuse bolt B.
Do not forcibly pry out the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly
Do not apply the grease either to the spline or to the input shaft.

INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET NO.1
1. Install the control cable bracket No.1 and 2 new bolts.
  Torque: 12 N*m (120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL OIL COOLER INLET TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)
1. Install the oil cooler tube bracket and bolt.
  Torque: 8.2 N*m (84 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf)
2. Using SST and a wrench, tighten the new oil cooler inlet tube.
  Torque: 34 N*m (350 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)
  
  SST 09023-12701
INSTALL OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)
1. Using SST and a wrench, tighten the new oil cooler outlet tube.
  Torque: 34 N*m (350 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)
  
  SST 09023-12701
2. Install the oil cooler tube clamp and bolt.
  Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf)
INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET FRONT
1. Install the engine mounting bracket front with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 64 N*m (653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL WATER HOSE
1. Install the water hose with the clamp.

INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE COVER
1. Install the case cover with the bolt and clip.
2. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
  Torque: 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)

CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
1. Install the 4 wire harness brackets with the bolts.
  Torque: 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)
2. Connect the connector.

3. Connect the wire harnesses to the wire harness clamp.
4. Install the ground wire with the bolt.
  Torque: 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)
INSTALL FLYWHEEL HOUSING UNDER COVER
1. Remove the 2 bolts and flywheel housing under cover.
  Torque: 7.8 N*m (80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf)
