Exhaust Manifold: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the engine from the vehicle (see REMOVAL ).
  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 
    1. Using SST, remove the sensor.

      SST 09224-00010 

  3. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 
    1. Using SST, remove the sensor.

      SST 09224-00010 

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (for Bank 1) 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and insulator.
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR (for Bank 2) 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and insulator.
  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 
    1. Remove the 8 nuts, manifold and gasket.
  7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) 
    1. Remove the 8 nuts, manifold and gasket.
