Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect passenger side.
      1. Remove the door control switch assembly.
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance 

        RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        H3-2 - H3-3 Lock Below 1 Ω
        H3-2 - H3-3
        H3-4 - H3-3
        OFF (Free) 10 kΩ or higher
        H3-4 - H3-3 Unlock Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)) 
    1. Disconnect the door control switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the ECU (instrument panel J/B) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H3-2 - DJ-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      H3-4 - DJ-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      H3-3 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      DJ-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      DJ-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
