Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT CERTIFICATION ECU (+B TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Symbol (Tester Connection) Condition Specified Condition
      +B1 (E13-1) - E (E13-17) Always 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT CERTIFICATION ECU (RC0 TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Symbol (Tester Connection) Condition Specified Condition
      RC0 (E13-29) - E (E13-17) Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch not pressed Below 1 V
      Engine switch off, all doors closed and transmitter switch pressed 4.6 to 5.4 V

    OK:  Go to step  4

    NG: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - BATTERY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E13 certification ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard 

      VOLTAGE AND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Symbol (Tester Connection) Condition Specified Condition
      RC0 (E13-29) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
      Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the M5 door control receiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

      Symbol (Tester Connection) Condition Specified Condition
      RC0 (E13-29) - +5 (M5-2) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHART

      GND (M5-6) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
