Interior Light Circuit: Description

The interior light control of the illuminated entry system is controlled by the main body ECU. The operation and condition of this control are described below.
OPERATION CONDITION
| Operation | Condition |
|---|---|
| Fade in | When any of the following conditions is met, the interior light, front seat illumination, rear seat illumination and rear door courtesy lights fade in.
|
| Fade out immediately | When either of the following conditions is met, the interior light, front seat illumination, rear seat illumination and rear door courtesy lights fade out.
|
| Illuminate for approximately 15 seconds, and then fade out | All doors are closed when the engine switch is off. |
HINT:
When any of the lights do not illuminate, perform the inspection according to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. When all of the lights (interior light, front seat illumination, rear seat illumination, and rear door courtesy lights) do not illuminate, perform the ACTIVE TEST of the illuminated entry system. If it is normal, there may be a malfunction in the door courtesy switch circuit, door lock position switch circuit, or engine switch circuit.
