How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 1 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC* 
    1. Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR  .
  4. CHECK INITIAL CHECK FUNCTION 
    1. Refer to OPERATION CHECK  .

  5. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
  6. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Refer to how to proceed with troubleshooting (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

      HINT:

      This ECU is connected to the multiplex communication system. Therefore, be sure to check that there are no problems in the multiplex communication system before performing troubleshooting.

  7. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Refer to how to proceed with troubleshooting (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

      HINT:

      This ECU is connected to the CAN communication system. Therefore, be sure to check that there are no problems in the CAN communication system before performing troubleshooting.

  8. DTC CHECK* 
    1. Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR  .
