How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the pre-collision system.
- The Techstream should be used in steps 2, 3, 4 and 6.

- CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Use the Techstream to check for normally functioning of CAN communication system.
- Perform bus check (Communication malfunctioning DTC).
- Perform bus check (Communication Bus check).
Result:
RESULT REFERENCEDTC Condition Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A: Go to Next Step
- Use the Techstream to check for normally functioning of CAN communication system.
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Check for DTCs.
- Record the DTCs.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Recheck for DTCs.
- Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
Result:
RESULT REFERENCEDTC Condition Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC is output B No DTC is output, and malfunction cannot be duplicated or checked C B: GO TO DTC CHART

- Check for DTCs.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- If the result is not listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- If the result is listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
