FUEL INJECTOR (for Port Injection): Installation
- INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)
- Apply gasoline to 2 new O-rings and install them to each fuel injector assemblyNOTE: Check that there is no damage or foreign matter in the groove of the fuel injector assembly when installing the O-ring.
- Install the fuel injector assembly to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly and No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly as shown in the illustrationNOTE:
- Make sure that there are no scratches or foreign matter in or around the insertion hole of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly and No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- When inserting the fuel injector assembly, be careful not to damage the O-ring.
- Be sure to fit part B of each fuel injector assembly between the tabs labeled A on the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly and No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- Apply gasoline to 2 new O-rings and install them to each fuel injector assembly
- INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)
- Install the 2 spacers to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Install the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly (with fuel injector assembly) to the intake air surge tank assembly
- Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Check that part B of the fuel injector assembly is between the tabs labeled A on the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)
- Install the 2 spacers to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Install the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly (with fuel injector assembly) to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Install the 2 bolts
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Check that part B of the fuel injector assembly is between the tabs labeled A on the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)
- Install the 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper assemblies and fuel tube sub-assembly (See INSTALLATION ).
- CONNECT FUEL HOSE NO.3 (See \INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
