Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed (See INITIALIZATION  ).
  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
    2. Turn the cruise control main switch on.
    3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 45 km/h (27 mph) or more.
    4. Recheck for DTC s.

      OK: DTC U0126 is not output. 

    NG: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    OK: Go to next Step 

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
    2. Turn the engine switch off
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) again
    4. Drive the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to the right and left at a speed of 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.
    5. Recheck for DTC s.

      OK: DTC C1231 is not output. 

    NG: GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM  (See DTC C1231/31 STEERING ANGLE SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION )

    OK: Go to next Step 

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    2. Recheck for DTC s

      OK: DTC B2058 is not output. 

    NG: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU  (See SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU  )

    OK: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION)  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
