DTC Check /Clear
- CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (with Techstream)
- Turn the engine switch off, and connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Chassis / Electric Parking Brake / Trouble Codes.
- Check for DTC.
- Check the freeze frame data.
HINT:
For the freeze frame data confirmation method, refer to the following procedures (See FREEZE FRAME DATA ).
- CLEAR DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (with Techstream)
- Turn the engine switch off and connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Chassis / Electric Parking Brake / Trouble Codes.
- Clear DTCs.
HINT:
If you clear DTCs, the freeze frame data will also be cleared.
- CHECK DTC (without Techstream)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

NOTE: Do not connect the wrong terminals, as this will cause parts to be damaged. - Turn the engine switch on (IG), and read the DTCs from the number of blinks of the parking brake indicator light (RED).

HINT:
- If normal, the light blinks at 0.25 second intervals.
- If DTCs are stored, refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE .
- If there is only 1 DTC, the DTC is displayed with a 4.5 second pause in between displays. If there are several DTCs, the DTC are displayed with a 2.5 second pause in between each code. Once all of the DTCs are displayed, there is a 4.5 second pause and the DTCs are output again.
- If 2 or more DTCs are detected, the MIL will display the smaller number DTC first.
- CLEAR DTC (without Techstream)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

NOTE: Do not connect the wrong terminals, as this will cause parts to be damaged. - Within 5 seconds after turning the engine switch on (IG), push the electric parking brake switch to the lock side 5 times.NOTE: If the parking brake switch is pushed too fast, it may not respond. If it does not respond, perform the operation again and push the switch more slowly.
- Check that a normal system code is output.
HINT:
If the malfunction continues, the DTC may not be clearable.
