How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding

  3. CHECK IF SAME SYMPTOM APPEARS IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM 
    1. Refer to the navigation system

      Result

    Result Proceed to
    Symptom does not appear A
    Symptom appears B

    B: Go to NAVIGATION SYSTEM  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

    A: Go to next Step 

  4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Intelligent tester or Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Result

    Result Proceed to
    CAN DTC is not output A
    CAN DTC is output B

    B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )

    A: Go to next Step 

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    2. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR )
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

    2. Data List / Active Test (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST )
  8. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  9. CONFIRMATION TEST
