Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the wireless door lock control functions operate with a transmitter (see OPERATION CHECK  )

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but turn signal light answer-back does not occur A
      Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but wireless door lock buzzer answer-back does not occur B
      Wireless door lock control functions do not operate C

    B:  Go to step  3

    C: Go to  "ALL DOOR ENTRY LOCK/UNLOCK FUNCTIONS AND WIRELESS FUNCTIONS DO NOT OPERATE "

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HAZARD WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check that the turn signal lights flash continuously when the hazard warning signal switch is pressed (see OPERATION CHECK )

      OK: Hazard warning lights flash continuously. 

    NG: Go to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (LIGHTING SYSTEM)  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

    OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK) 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER) 
    1. Disconnect the L16 ECU connector
    2. Disconnect the L30 controller connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L16-18 (BZR3) - L30-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      L16-19 (BZRG) - L30-2 (L)
      L16-18 (BZR3) or L30-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L16-19 (BZRG) or L30-2 (L) - Body ground

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  4. INSPECT WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER

    1. Remove the buzzer controller (see REMOVAL  ).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 ON → OFF Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK LIGHT ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A28 buzzer connector
    2. Disconnect the A52 ECU connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A52-14 (BZR) - A28-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-2 - Body ground
      A52-14 (BZR) or A28-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  6. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER (OPERATION) 
    1. Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one (see REMOVAL  ).
    2. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using the transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK switch.

      OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds. 

    NG: Go to step 7 

    OK: END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE) 

  7. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK LIGHT ECU (OPERATION) 
    1. Temporarily replace the front multiplex network light ECU (front controller) with a new one
    2. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK switch

      OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds. 

    NG: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU  (See REMOVAL )

    OK: END (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK LIGHT ECU IS DEFECTIVE)
