Trip Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT TRIP SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (RSET) - 6 (E) RESET ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
      RESET OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher
      7 (A/B) - 6 (E) TRIP ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
      TRIP OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

    2. Inspect the switch illumination
      1. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the light, and check the operation of the switch.

    OK 

    TERMINALS REFERENCE CHART

    Measurement Condition Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ILL+)
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 (ILL-)
    LED illuminates

    NOTE:
    • If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the LED will not illuminate.
    • If the voltage is too low, the LED will not illuminate.

    If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
