On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the No 1 engine under cover (See REMOVAL ).
    2. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - Body ground Engine stopped Below 1 Ω
      Engine idling 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the oil pressure switch

      HINT:

      Put the engine in inspection mode (see INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE ).

    4. Connect the oil pressure switch connector.

    5. Install the No. 1 engine under cover (see INSTALLATION )
