How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the air suspension system

*. Use the Intelligent tester or Techstream

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
  3. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding

  4. CHECK ECUS CONNECTED TO CAN BUS* 
    1. Check ECUs connected to CAN bus (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      Malfunction appears A
      No malfunction appears B

    B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING)  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to next Step 

  5. CHECK DTC (CAN AND LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)* 
    1. Check for all DTCs.

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      CAN system DTC is output B
      LIN system DTC is output C
      Air suspension DTC is output D

    B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING)  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    C: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING)  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    D: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

    A: Go to next Step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE

    2. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU  )

  9. CONFIRMATION TEST
