Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the P3 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the R12 map light connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    P3-11 (IND2) - R12-5 (IND2) Always Below 1 Ω
    P3-11 (IND2) or R12-5 (IND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (GREEN LED OPERATION) 
    1. Temporarily replace the map light with a new or normally functioning one (See REMOVAL ).
    2. Check that the system operates normally.

    OK: Green LED operates normally. 

    NG:  Go to step  3

    OK: END (MAP LIGHT (GREEN LED) IS FAULTY; CLEAR HISTORIC DTC)  (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )

  3. REPLACE TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY 

    NEXT: PERFORM REGISTRATION  (See REGISTRATION )
