How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for current DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    HINT:

    For the blinking pattern, refer to the Diagnosis System (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ) and DTC Check / Clear (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    HINT:
    *: If blinking pattern 5-1 is output, check for DTCs using the Techstream.

    A: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    B: END 

    C: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for historic DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
  5. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

    HINT:

    Even if the malfunction that caused the DTC output during the historic DTC check is fixed, the FAST2 blinking pattern of the current DTC will remain.

  6. CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 
    1. Clear historic DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
  7. CONFIRMATION TEST 
    1. Check for current DTCs and confirm that the FAST1 blinking pattern occurs.
