Inspection Procedure

HINT:

If the cabin temperature is low (-20°C (-4°F) or less), or high (65°C (149°F) or higher), recording may not be possible. In this case, use the A/C, etc. to adjust the cabin temperature.

  1. CHECK ERROR MESSAGE 
    1. When recording audio, check if the "RECORDING ERROR" message is displayed.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Not displayed A
      Displayed B

    B:  Go to step  7

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK AUDIO OFF SETTING 
    1. Check if the setting is AUDIO OFF.

      HINT:

      When set to AUDIO OFF, audio recording is not possible.

      OK: AUDIO ON. 

    NG: CHANGE SETTING TO AUDIO ON 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK DISC 
    1. Check that the CD is not dirty or scratched.

      OK: Not dirty or scratched. 

    NG: REPLACE CD 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  4. CHECK DISC 
    1. Check if the disc is a finalized disc with audio already recorded on it.

      OK: Blank disc. 

    NG: AUDIO RECORDING CANNOT BE PERFORMED ON FINALIZED DISCS 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  5. CHECK DISC 
    1. Check if the disc is copy-protected.

      OK: Disc can be copied. 

    NG: REPLACE WITH DISC THAT CAN BE COPIED 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  6. CHECK AUDIO SYSTEM SETTING 
    1. Change to "Navigation Check" mode (See OPERATION CHECK  ).
    2. At the Sound Library Information screen, check that the HDD audio recording function is set to "Sound Library ON".

      OK: Set to "Sound Library ON". 

    NG: "SOUND LIBRARY ON"

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  7. CHECK HDD SPACE 
    1. Check if there is enough HDD space.

      OK: There is enough HDD space. 

    NG: DELETE RECORDED AUDIO

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  8. CHECK AVC-LAN PLUS 
    1. Perform the AVC-LAN plus check (See AVC-LAN PLUS CIRCUIT  ).

    NEXT: END
