Inspection Procedure
- CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY
- Check the waveform of the microphone using an oscilloscope.

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition F27-11 (MIN+) - F27-10 (MIN-) w/o LEXUS Link System-Engine switch on (ACC) and "Voice" switch of steering pad switch pressed
w/ LEXUS Link System: Engine switch on (ACC) and "PHONE" button of overhead junction block pressedWaveform the matches sound spoken into microphone is output.

OK: REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY (See REMOVAL )
- Check the waveform of the microphone using an oscilloscope.
- CHECK LEXUS LINK SYSTEM
- Check if the vehicle is equipped with the LEXUS link system.
Result

- Check if the vehicle is equipped with the LEXUS link system.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY)
- Disconnect the R7 overhead junction block connector.
- Disconnect the F27 display connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY (MACC VOLTAGE)
- Reconnect the F27 display connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition F27-9 (MACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 4 to 6V

- CHECK MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the microphone from the overhead junction block (See REMOVAL ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (MIC+) - 3 (MIC-) Always 1.9 to 2.2 kΩ

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE ECU - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY AND OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK)
- Disconnect the P2 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the F27 display connector.
- Disconnect the R7 junction block connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Reconnect the P2 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage

- CHECK MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the microphone from the overhead junction block (See REMOVAL ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
