Inspection Procedure
- CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK FUNCTION
- Check that the wireless door lock control functions operate with a transmitter (See OPERATION CHECK ).

- CHECK HAZARD WARNING LIGHT
- Check that the turn signal lights flash continuously when the hazard warning signal switch is pressed.
OK: Hazard warning lights flash continuously.
NG: Go to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (LIGHTING SYSTEM) (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)
- Check that the turn signal lights flash continuously when the hazard warning signal switch is pressed.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - CERTIFICATION ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the E29 ECU connector
- Disconnect the A20 buzzer connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER (OPERATION)
- Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one (See WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER ).
- Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using the transmitter lock/unlock switch.
OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds.
NG: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (See REMOVAL )
OK: END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE)
