Steering Control Ecu: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.NOTE: w/Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. - REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK
- Rear Side:
- Disconnect the 7 connectors.
- Detach the 2 clamps.
- Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.
- Front Side:
- Disconnect the 5 connectors.
- Remove the ECU with junction block.
- Rear Side:
- REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU
- Remove the bolt, nut and ECU from the junction block.
