Inspection Procedure

- CHECK FOR ANY FOREIGN OBJECT
- Check for any foreign objects.
- Check that there are no foreign objects or defects in the cassette tape player of the radio receiver.
OK: No foreign objects or defects.
- Check that there are no foreign objects or defects in the cassette tape player of the radio receiver.
NG: REMOVE FOREIGN OBJECT
OK: Go to Next step
- Check for any foreign objects.
- REPLACE CASSETTE TAPE WITH ANOTHER (90 MIN. OR LESS) AND RECHECK
- Check the cassette tape player using a normal cassette tape.
- Replace the cassette tape with another normal one (90 minutes or less) to see if the same trouble occurs again.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
- Replace the cassette tape with another normal one (90 minutes or less) to see if the same trouble occurs again.
OK: CASSETTE TAPE IS FAULTY
NG: Go to Next step
- Check the cassette tape player using a normal cassette tape.
- CLEAN HEAD AND CHECK OPERATION
- Head cleaning
- Raise the cassette door with your finger. Using a pencil or similar object, push in the guide.
- Using a cleaning pen or cotton applicator soaked in cleaner, clean the head surface, pinch rollers and capstans.
- Check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER
OK: HEAD IS DIRTY
