Section 16 (Air Conditioning): Condenser: Installation

  1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the bracket to the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Insert the lower support on the lower side of the cooler condenser into the crossmember.
    3. Install the cooler condenser with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    4. Install the radiator upper support to the upper part of the radiator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A 
    1. Remove the vinyl tape attached to the pipe and condenser.
    2. Install a new O-ring to the liquid pipe.
    3. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to the O-ring and pipe joint.

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    4. Connect the liquid pipe to the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf)

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    1. Remove the vinyl tape attached to the hose and connecting part of the cooler condenser.
    2. Install a new O-ring to the discharge hose.
    3. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to the O-ring and hose joint.

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent 

    4. Connect the discharge hose to the cooler condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf)

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  8. CHARGE REFRIGERANT (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  9. WARM UP ENGINE (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  10. CHECK FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT (See  REPLACEMENT   )
